Jim Haynes Real Estate Broker, and Jim Haynes Auction Services LLC is fully licensed by the Alabama Real Estate Commission and the Alabama Board of Auctioneers and bonded in Alabama to auction real estate and personal property items. Our company works as an agent of the client who has our first obligation. Mountaintop Auction House is located on top of Georgia Mountain near Guntersville, Alabama. From Huntsville, Al. drive South on US Hwy 231 to Morgan City, Al, turn left on Union Grove Rd. At end of Union Grove Rd (14 mi), turn left onto Hwy 69 So. and travel 1/2 mile, Auction House is on the right. From Guntersville, Al. drive up Hwy 69 to top of Mtn Auction House on left. From Arab, Al. travel Hwy 69 So. to top of Georgia Mtn, Auction House on right.
 
 
Auctions Every Saturday General Merchandise begins at 6:30 PM.
We auction seller spots of 1 hour, 45 minutes, 30 minutes, 15 minutes. Sellers typically bring household and general merchandise, tools, appliances, and all new merchandise.
 
Every Monday Wholesale Dealer's Sale 11 AM (Open to Public).
Great bargains on all new merchandise, stock up for the Christmas Season; tools, home de'cor, cookware, lenins, toys, blankets, household items.

Estate Auctions

In times of transition when an estate liquidation or downsizing is called for, our company can assist you and try to help make the transition as easy as possible. Our favorite type of estate auction is to auction all the real estate and personal property at the onsite home of the estate.  We auction the real estate first on a given day, and then auction the personal property of the estate immediately afterwards that same day. The closing for real estate auctions takes 30 days after the sale for settlement and payment of the estate. However, settlement and payment to the estate for personal property can be made the day of the auction.  In cases where existing land covenants prevent having a live auction on site, the personal property items can be transported to my auction House, MOUNTAINTOP AUCTION, at 6315 Hwy 69 in Guntersville, Al. and sold there. In some cases, the family wants to sell estate outright without doing an auction. In that case I buy estates and can make you an offer on the entire lot.

          

Personal Property Estate Auctions

Targeted Marketing

Your auction must be marketed to reach the maximum number of customers who are likely to want to purchase your property. We will work with you to create a marketing campaign designed to create a maximum draw of potential buyers that includes handbills, yard signs, newspaper, internet, and social media. In addition we can design ads for local radio and television. In some cases, publications such as Antiques Weekly magazine need to be utilized. Our company utilizes Autionzip.com and facebook extensively.
Jim Haynes Auction Services LLC specializes in Personal Property and Personal Property Estate Auctions. We can help design a marketing campaign that markets your personal property to the largest audience possible. We prefer to sell personal property at the onsite location of the Estate, but we can transport personal property to a separate location and auction it there. Our auctioneers work with you to display and present your property to sellers in the most advantageous format. We will design the auction experience to reflect your preferences such as use of tents, making foodservice available, and enhance selling opportunites by accepting debit and credit cards when possible.

Self Storage Auctions

Jim Haynes Auction Services LLC can act as the agent for Landlords of self storage units that are in default of their rent. Our company will advertise and promote the auction. On auction day we provide auctioneers and staff to conduct the auction, and clerks and cashiers to collect the proceeds. Proceeds for Self Storage Auction Units can be paid to the Landlords the day of the auction.

  • Plan the type of auction you want: Absolute Auction, Auction With Reserve,  or Silent Auction.
  • Complete, explain, and discuss a detailed contract that protects the client and the auction company.
  • Organize, order and merchandise all the auction items as you specify in order to gain maxiumum sales advantage.
  • Pre-prepare the auction site day(s) before the auction.
  • Agree on acceptable forms of payment: Cash, Checks, Debit cards, Credit Cards.
  • Plan a marketing campaign that is affordable and reaches the maximum number of customers who are likely to buy your merchandise: Handbills, signs, website, autionzip, facebook, radio, television, Antiques Weekly, local newspaper.
  • Make a complete itemized list of all auction items.
  • Take and post pictures of auction items on auctionzip and social media.
  • Arrange for parking and acquire permits.
  • Provide staff to manage and conduct the auction.
